Job Summary/Essential Functions:
The ideal candidate has experience in luxury retail or premium ski shops and understands both the technical nuances of high-end hard goods and the fashion-forward elements of soft goods. A passion for winter sports, excellent communication skills, and an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction are essential.
Job Duties:
- Delivers a concierge-level customer service experience tailored to each client.
- Builds genuine relationships with customers through expert advice and product knowledge.
- Understands and effectively communicates the features and benefits of premium ski hardgoods (e.g., skis, boots, bindings) and luxury softgoods (e.g., outerwear, base layers, accessories).
- Assists clients with custom fittings for ski equipment and apparel.
- Ensures products are displayed in an organized, visually appealing, and brand-appropriate manner.
- Stays current on new product arrivals, brand stories, and ski industry trends.
- Assists in restocking merchandizing product.
- Maintains a clean, well-organized sales floor and fitting rooms.
- Continuously develops expertise in luxury ski brands (e.g., Frauenschuh, Kjus, Norrona, Vandeer, Stockli, Arcteryx, Patagonia, Toni Sailer, Goldberg, etc)
- Attends seasonal brand clinics and in-store training sessions.
- Performs other duties as assigned by WPR management.
- Ability to stay calm, patient and professional at all times.
- Strong professional communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Work in a variety of locations on mountain, including pop-up stores, multiple outlets, and events hosted outside, on the mountain.
- Ability to lift 20 lbs regularly, 50lbs occasionally.
- Must be able to bend, twist, lift, push, pull, drive, squat, stand, and use a small step ladder.
- Drive in inclement weather and in/around the mountain to various outlets.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or fashion helpful.
- Experience in high-end retail or luxury goods preferred.
- Maintains neat and professional experience and always observes personal cleanliness rules.
- Self-motivated.
