Wasatch Peaks Ranch is developing and building a new private mountain resort community located in the Wasatch Mountains 30 minutes north of Salt Lake City. The development encompasses 12,000 acres including 3,000 acres of private ski terrain; a Tom Fazio-designed private golf course; and 460 private homes and homesites being developed under a multi-phase 10–15-year buildout. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of food items, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks, such as chopping, slicing, mixing ingredients, and plating dishes.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, including cleaning equipment, wiping down surfaces, and restocking supplies.
- Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure food safety and prevent accidents.
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations and a positive team atmosphere.
- Assist with inventory management and food ordering, ensuring that all necessary ingredients are available and properly stored.
- Learn and develop culinary skills under the guidance of experienced chefs, including knife techniques, cooking methods, and menu knowledge.
- Contribute to menu development and testing of new dishes.
- Assist with food preparation for special events and banquets.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous food service experience is preferred, but not required.
- Passion for cooking and a desire to learn new skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
